forward arc
All creatures have a Forward Arc. It extends from the direction they are facing, 90 degrees to the left, and 90 degrees to the right. It encompasses a plane, which is flush with the creature's front face, and no point in the plane intersects any other part of the creature.
As creatures cannot typically take move actions outside of their initiative, it is vitally important to ensure desired facing at the end of one's turn, as most forms of avoidance and mitigation depend upon facing.
